CATW PRACTICE 2

                         Esmin Green has passed away causing to a mistreatment of the Brooklyn’s largest psychiatric hospital about an hour, after she struggled her whole energy trying to maintain her body back up. According to “the woman who died in the waiting room” by Jeneen Interlandi, the ignorance of the nurses and the staff has caused a life, thinking just because the patient is mentally ill and poor, then do not deserve to be treated as if they were wealthy or conscious. For example as it says in the passage. “Many of them suffer from chronic conditions that could potentially be treated with medication and regular counseling, luxuries most of them cannot afford”. Which I do not necessarily think is the right way for any type of patient should be classified.

  

                  Many hospitals around the world have had the same typical care center, to actually provide for those who cannot afford a comfortable, clean care or attention. But then most of them have been cut off and they have no other way to be concerned. Even for many little continents in the Caribbean, either psychiatric, child center or just a simple clinic always has a class of people to be received differently. Most of them only rich have the privilege to have a medication or consultation. Therefore, if you aren’t then they only see you when you’re about to be half dead, this is a reason why many diseases are around because they cannot afford to attend the necessary care they ought to have.

                   Furthermore, in some cases just about 50,000 beds are available for patients without even counting how many tens of millions of populations are waiting for a little care across the globe. In spite, of those who are basically mentally ill are waiting twice as much. Comparing to where I come from, the only reason for someone to any immediate care is only if you have a pass as if another doctor wrote or one of the upper class have given you. Then maybe  you might not be waiting in line and just go through because you could have been there standing for hours even days from what i have seen and experienced.

                    In addition, health care can be really easy to get or it can be something you have never imagine of getting. Although, many hospitals may have the opportunity to gain but too little care does not allow you to receive it well. Then logically it’s a think everyone should receive and benefit from.

Revision of CATW 1

               Students who are coming from another state are paying higher taxes in Illinois while students that are apparently illegally citizens paying a minimum wage than they are. Therefore most people think it is unfair. According to Chicago tribune, the article states by a vote of 112.4 that Illinois house recently had a law which allows student who are in the U.S illegally to pay lower amount of money in which I think is completely fair.

                Furthermore, students who are originally coming from another state are basically classified as a newcomer. Because they have absolutely not paid any tax in the state or worked compare to those who have had their parents living in the state, for quite some time. Referring to the article, it said that advocates for immigrants estimate there are approximately 3,000 young people in Illinois in this awkward position, which shouldn’t even be in that case. They definitely will pay back the money as they grow to their major, after they start working. They will be paying it off with the government taking twice as much from their tax pay.

An education of Citizenship

                 According to the article "An education in Citizenship" from Chicago Tribune Editorial 31 march 2003. stated by a vote of 112.4 should allow young people in the U.S to be able to benefit in tuition rates of Illinois Colleges and Universities. Whom many others apparently disagrees with the idea. Although, i totally disagree with this particular theory because either you are a legal citizen or not. each individual should receive the same education or help as the other.


                Reffering to "An education in citizenship". all students are suppose to gain the same education and should not be discriminated or judged by how their status or backgrounds are. For example in the article it said that advocates for immigrant estimate there are approximately 3,000 young people in Illinois in this awkward position, which shouldn't even be in that case because their parents are paying taxes in the state. Meaning why should they be having or experiencing anything as as such. Eventhough, they definitly will pay back as well. As they grow to the major that they are currently studying after they start working, they will be paying it off, with the government taking twice as much from their tax-pay.

         
                    Furthermore, as another example to the topic. America has this program, which called no child left behind, in the state. but it is not quite what we expect would happen because there are many of them who are not getting the necessarry that they ought to gain at this point. And the majority of young children have to pay for their health, it's either their parents are being paid a maximum wage or not even as sufficient as they think it is. the whole point to this is, why can't every one be treated the same and get the right thing without taking out any facts to the situation.


                  To conclude my idea to the article, it should never be so hard to get what is needed, when a group is getting it without being watched, and those who have the opportunity to have, but too selfish to give it out.

"hype"

                          Advertisements are being seen almost every places that we go to, mostly they are actually seen when we are traveling, on billboards, buses and so on. For example to the article "Hype," it is sort of a toxic of the mental pollutants because as soon as you open your eyes or decides to go out the first thing you see are advertisements, either it's on the cup of the cofee you're drinking or bottles as far as we know it, matter of fact i completely agree with Lasn.

          Refering to the article "Hype" from Kalle Lasn. these particular advertisements are there to send us a message or it is trying to find a way of it's own to get into our mindS and to think of it. Most of the time we don't really think the television or our computers has pop-ups to basically get out attention. Either we think of it as an annoyance, when the real idea is to get our attention and get us to buy so the can make money. A reason to trully support my point is from my own experience, everytime i saw a poster on the train or glued on the wall, i used to think it was because they had nothing to do with their money. Because most of us to even pay it any mind at all and just ignore it.

           Furthermore, the whole situation is everyday billions of display ads are being posted throughout the North America. It is increasing every single day and many more, almost as if it is a virus that is being spread not only in the world but inside our brains as well. We can think of how a simple bacteria is there and later on forming into a virus. It is the same way that advertisements are spreading into the mind as a mental disease that cannot be cured.

       As a conclusion, advertisements are "suppose" to be there just to catch the consumer's attention. Although it can also be there to mess with the mind and to trick it into buying more and more, whcih is mostly what the advertising management are sending when they post it up.
               

The Allegory of The Cave

In my opinion the main point to The Allegory of The Cave is that, many were actually living in the dark and never really knew what was a real picture because they had never visualized the image of lightness. Meaning, to them other people who have seen and experienced different than what they knew are being called the blindness. Although they are basically the ones who are blind and know nothing about clearance. As a conclusion to the topic, those who are living in the dark will never have a better understanding to those who have been living in light.
